Therapeutic Massage is a general term that describes any type of massage modality that helps relieve pain, reduce stress, and work on a specific issue. Massage mobilizes soft tissue to restore normal systemic and functional use. Massage can be used to assist in the treatment of most musculo-skeletal and associated problems, and receiving regular therapeutic massage therapy will result in improved circulatory, lymphatic and neurological functioning. Techniques include myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue, Swedish, cupping and hot stones.
Yoga therapy is a type of therapy that uses yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and guided imagery to improve mental and physical health. The holistic focus of yoga therapy encourages the integration of mind, body, and spirit. Unlike a standard yoga class, yoga therapy sessions are typically conducted in one-on-one or small group settings.
