Embodied Art & Spirituality
I come home to art again in a natural organic way in 2015. A divine gift I am given and received during my contemplation retreat.
I find tremendous joy, bliss, contentment, love and peace just through embodying art in my journey. It is through contemplation and waking up my senses and being, I let what moves me in spirit and soul within to guide me to draw. It is not techniques or methods but a skill by simply being and let your hand flow and guide you to draw. I have guided individuals to rekindle their gifts in art in therapy and support their creative self to blossom in the journey. Now I myself have returned to art and it is never the same again in how I see art and how art transforms me and in return change the way how I hold each individual in the journey.
I journey with you in individual or group workshops and retreats to heal, (re)connect, (re)kindle, (re)discover your creative self in Embodied Art through contemplation.
Embodied Contemplation Retreat
Why a contemplation retreat?
In our contemplation retreat, I encourage natural organic flow with self and with nature where you listen in silence by simply being; and flow with dance, movement, photography and/or art or any form of creative arts to which you are drawn to. You embrace the art to simply be, to listen and rest in the presence, in the here and now, by being gentle, kind, compassionate and loving towards self in contemplation.
Embodied Sacred Dance & Interfaith
I danced as a little girl, as a young adult and discovered healing through sacred dance, through ministering and in dance movement therapy. Ever since I come home, I return to dancing with God, in the sacred dance, expressing my being, soul and spirit. I continue to dance, the dance of my life. How you can dance, a dance which is sacred to you, to your spirit, to your soul, and how dance in any faith or no faith, can connect you deeply to your source, to love within. How you can 'through dance, you learn to tread lightly on the Earth (for gardens), the essence of the feminine grace, your connection to creation' and to self, to humanity and to nature (Nita Ng).
芯 is my gift/identity/calling, my vocation (a vision by Nita and affirms my calling as the heart of flower). My love for nature. It is where God's fire burns and stays aflame to bring light to the world. I reconnect with Nature and in the process, I discover the core of who I am. Nature heals me in many ways and layers. I feel very much home with and in Nature. Nature has taught me many valuable lessons and given me insights on how to live life and to live in harmony and cooperate with Nature.
I offer individual & group workshops and retreats in Embodied Nature. In most of my services, I hold it in the Nature. This retreat focuses on in tuning deeply to Nature.
What is Authentic Movement?
Authentic movement is a type of meditation through movement that occurs by listening to one’s own body.
How does Authentic Movement works?
In the practice, the participants discover their own inner experiences through a simple process of movement and stillness. The process consists of a mover and witness. The mover will close her/his eyes and wait for movement impulses. The body is the guide in this process. The witness observes the mover and be conscious aware of her/his own experiences and of the mover.
What is the goal of Authentic Movement?
The goal is to listen to our body in a non-judgmental way, to listen to the language of the body, be it a witness or mover. Authentic movement facilitates healing as the body guide us into stored memories and experiences and towards consciousness. It can be a call for attention to physical healing, such as, injury which can be a conflict between what we tell our body to do and what it needs to do for healing, recovery, or safety. It develops a mindful, conscious and active internal way of listening to and witnessing our body.
What does the workshop cover?
- An approach involving inner-directed movement with the role of a witness and mover in silence, learning to listen to our body in a non-judgmental attitude.
- Processing the nonverbal actions/movements into conscious awareness through verbal dialogue and/or nonverbal communication
- Nonverbal processing involves art materials and journal writing
* Authentic Movement is also offered in individual private therapy other than class or workshop.
