Mama of Sanctuary Forest Garden
When we love Nature, Nature also love you back.
Nature has always loved us before we even love her.
We can only collaborate with Nature and listen truly to what they are saying. Not intruding, imposed or forced and think we can control Nature. We collaborate with Nature and let Nature do her own healing. We can only play a part in action and be responsible to her well-being and act accordingly to what she needs. Like lack of water when it is very dry and hot. Water enough for the tree. A simple example.
I had a tree (actually more than one in our forest garden which I observe somehow they weren't doing very well) which I don't know the exact name of the species. She was in a poor state. With brown leaves and branches like rust. I don't know exactly what happened to her and she looked sick. At that point, I was thinking of cutting her down. After I know the birds need her and a tree good for the birds. I think twice of cutting her down. Her leaves prick as well. I pruned away the bottom with a mini hand saw (very mini - I learn the art of sawing thick branches with a mini saw) to give her more breathing space to breath and water her regularly. A lot of leaves also turned yellow after. I was very dismayed. As the other shrubs and plants were also affected by her. They also turned 'rusty'. As I develop my relationship with her, I began to talk to her. Laughed also when I was pricked by her and joked with her.
'You don't like me huh because I was thinking of chopping you off, that's why you prick me huh?'
'You prick me again?' I laughed.
It is itchy and painful. I actually get immune by some plants like nettle. No longer itch or painful. I learnt to put on groves. I always prefer to work with my bare hands. After so many incidents, I learnt the hard way. Ha! My funny relationships with my plants. I fall in love with my trees which gave me 'headache'. I see the beauty in them.
It is a reflection of me, isn't it?
The state we are in reflects on the tree.
You can say it is 'Projection'.
They tell us a lot about ourselves.
Only if we dare to see it and have the courage to see it.
Oh! By the way, this tree is thriving and flourishing. Now she is shining. Her leaves glow! And less yellow leaves. After 3 months of pep talk, watering, caring and loving her. So delighted! Jeroen went, 'Look at her leaves, They are glowing! Do you notice that?' Her berries are getting bigger and I can't wait for the berries to turn red. Apparently, the birds love the berries. (* A tip - I made nettle fertilizer from the nettle. After 3 weeks, I mix with water and water the tree. This natural feed helps. I did only once.)
I witnessed a number of trees in our forest garden heal and bounce back to health in the last 3 months. I was so amazed! I listen intuitively to what I have to do and what they are saying. I learn to trust within. The forest garden here is not small like my balcony garden in the past. I was so overwhelmed at first by the state - from the soil to the trees to the house. However as time goes by, I just trust Nature will find her way as we find our way. All I can do is be patience, wait, listen, attune and act accordingly at the right time. (There is a tree which I didn't do much at all and yesterday, we discovered she is growing new leaves and bearing 'flowers' - a conifer tree. Maybe because I sowed butterflies & bees seeds near her? No clue. They have great resilience I discover. )
As I heal, Nature heals.
As Nature heals, I heal.
Is this a coincidence?
I need Nature.
This I know.
Nature is alive.
When they receive love and know you love them, they thrive and flourish.
Isn't it the same with us, human?
When we love ourselves unconditionally,
We thrive & flourish.
When we love others unconditionally,
they thrive & flourish.

The Miracles of the Nature World
Nature teaches me the art of collaboration and trust the healing process. In return, I trust to listen to myself even more and let the NATURAL healing comes. This is in relation to my own personal wholistic healing - physical, emotion, psychological and spiritual - a WHOLESOME healing.
* Elizabeth has walked a long journey of healing herself. She discovers Nature is more than just a therapeutic space. It is more than what she is. Elizabeth had trekked in a number of forests with her husband, Jeroen and ran her workshops and therapy in the Nature over the years. Now after moving into her forest home, she literally lives in the 'forest' in the Nature as she has always longed and yearned for. She now lives her soul & heart desire life with her husband and now spends her time contemplating on her Sanctuary Forest Garden other than attending to her forest garden, making homemade food, crafts... and accompanying others in their personal journey, both online and in her forest garden. She balances her life with serving others and herself, after a conscious decision, embracing a semi-hermit life. She blogs whenever she gets inspired by her forest in contemplation, to share with you what she witnesses and learns from her Sanctuary Forest Garden and videos in You Tube of her encounter with the Nature World.*
Shalom! Blessings! Love To you!
